Why Are You Fearful?

Fearful

Matthew 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

We all as human beings, have feelings. Feelings are not just attributed to love alone, but we have different feelings.
Fear is not an exception in this category. Feelings don’t just come like that, things we see, hear and touch affects our feelings.

Being Fearful means, frightened, filled with terror. It is natural for human beings to be fearful. But as Christians it shouldn’t be so.

Why should I be fearful as a christian?

Jesus Christ in our passage, said same thing and also gave them the answer.
One thing that causes fear, is the feeling of uncertainty, which is the opposite of faith.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The disciples, were in a great storm, they were uncertain of what would happen next, they cried to God, which is good, but their cry was a cry of fear, a cry driven by faithlessness. Jesus answered, but first had to deal with there faithlessness, before calming the storm.

Faith cast our fears, when your convictions are strong, your faith will be strong. Your faith can be built up, when God’s word is rooted in your life.
When faced with a storm having, known God’s word, you cry to God with full assurance, not being fearful.

As a christian, there is no reason at all to be fearful, because we have who made everything as our Father.
