Psalms 36:6 Thy righteousness [is] like the great mountains; thy judgments [are] a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
This bible verse contains a lot of mysteries, but my focus is on the last line, “O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.” It reminded me of what I heard few years ago, “You don’t owe yourself.”
You as an inventor, you created a generator that can run for hours with little fuel. You don’t just invent such an appliance and forget about it. You will always do your best to maintain it.
The generator you created, don’t have the ability to maintain itself, because it never created itself, so the generator, relies totally on the inventor to preserve it.
This story, just illustrates our relationship with God. God created, and brought you into this world, and you think you can preserve yourself, NO!!
Did you create yourself?
If only you did, then you have every right to preserve yourself, but if not, just completely rely on your creator for preservation.
When sin came into the world, we were indirectly telling God, “I can preserve myself, I don’t need you,” denying your creator of what He created.
That is why, when one becomes born again, he gives his life back to God, because it originally belongs to God, not you.
If God would preserve the beast, why won’t He preserve you, that He made in His own image?
This is the origin of anxiety and worry, these occur, when we strive to preserve ourselves.
The world is a difficult place, only the creator can preserve you in it.
A christian, has no reason to worry, because the life you live is not yours again. Leave the owner of the life to preserve it.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
You are called to live a life of faith in Christ Jesus.
Live your life with this mentality, leave the keeper of Israel to preserve you.
This is not an opportunity for mediocrity. The Holy Spirit will guide you into this truth.
