For While He was Still Young.

2–3 minutes

2 Chronicles 34:3 For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.

Nowadays age has been an excuse in certain things we do, also certain activities has been placed with age.
In the sight of God, our age has nothing to do with our dealings with Him, once you are qualified and yielded to Him, He would use you to achieve anything.

It gets so funny when people think or erroneously believe that being born again is only for adults, like it looks weird to be truly born again as a young person. I have seen a young guy that said, “I will give my life completely to God when am about to marry or done with my university education;” this guy was 19 years old when he made this statement, and also a lot of hilarious statements they make. You can’t decide when you want to be born again, the decision is to God alone, who does the work through the Holy Spirit and our pastors. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

From our bible verse,… For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father… You will find out that Josiah was just 8 years old, the guy I mentioned was 11 years older than him, but this boy Josiah understood that serving God or seeking Him has nothing to do with his age. As early as 8 years, he had already made it his duty to seek the Lord. What a boy!!!.
At this age, a child should be cuddling the mother, playing with friends or toys, and a lot of things, but this boy was a different specie, who made up his mind not to play around or make new friends, made it his point of duty to seek God. A child at this age playing around is normal, not condemning anyone.

At age 12, he knew the difference between idol worship and true worship which is to God. He already knew what it meant to serve God at this age.

Young boys now are interested in fashion, relationship, business, which is also not bad, but Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

This is to let you know that as a young person, you are expected to serve God, and you can still serve Him.
Take this as a challenge to you, since a young boy of 8 years could seek the Lord, what about me that is older?

This is the right time to seek God.
