According to the scriptures, we believe that there is time for everything on earth; everything has it’s time and seasons. What actually causes change is “Time.”
1 John 2:13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
1 John 2:14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
From our verse above, you will see time at work here. From a baby to a young man to a father. But my emphasis is on the young men.
Their own stage was characterized as a time of battle or war. When someone is called an over-comer, that person fought a war and won.
Now listen, this stage of your life is a time to fight, to war against the wicked one. An understanding of this will help readjust your life.
This battle is not a physical battle, but a spiritual one, because the life we live is more spiritual than physical.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

It is a battle of the soul. This time in your life determines your adulthood, it is a critical time when decisions are made that either make or mar your future.
The wicked one, who never has good plans for you will always want to corrupt your soul to make bad decisions in your life (this is a war).
No wonder, young people are more prone to fall into temptations, faced with a lot of challenges through their peers, social media etc.
The enemy uses this strategy, he first corrupts their desires; a teenage boy desperate to have a girl in his life, young guys lusting after money by all means. This alone has given the enemy a stepping stone to come into their lives, and it also drives them into dangerous decisions that must destroy them.
But we have Good News!!!!!!
1 John 2:14… I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
The bible called you a strong man, which has made you able to overcome. But, the word of God must be in you, so that you can become a winner or victor in this stage of your life.
Know This:
•Guard your heart diligently.
•Utilize this age by serving the Lord.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.
“Be warned you are in a battle field”
